As you may already know, we have recently been hard at work developing the prototype for our VR short film ‘When Something Happens’, attending workshops, pitching ideas and developing our work rapidly.
This has all been building up to our pitch for the Creative XR funding opportunity in March, where a select amount of teams around the U.K would be chosen to receive funding to make their prototypes a reality. This scheme really appealed to us due to the mentorship, support from high-profile industry leads, prototype funding and marketplace event.
Creative XR has been an invaluable opportunity for the arts and cultural sector where small companies and startups have been able to prototype, pitch and develop unusual ideas that utilize immersive technologies. It has been a bit of a whirlwind looking back at December when we just kicked off the prototype to where we are now about to move into production.
We can’t thank Digital Catapult and Northern Ireland Screen enough for all their support! Looking to the future, we can’t wait to start working on the full project and see our team and ideas expand as we move towards a finished piece.
